Opening Event – Traditional Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony

The inauguration of the Ethiopian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale took place at Palazzo Bollani and was characterized by the traditional coffee ceremony that welcomed visitors inside the exhibition.

Thanks to the exhibited works by Tesfaye Urgessa, which explore themes of migration, identity, and belonging, we find ourselves immersed in a sensory experience that takes us into Ethiopian culture.
