Why Save Venice?

Branded documentary realized for Save Venice, the leading American nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the artistic heritage of Venice, Italy.

Since 1971, Save Venice has funded the conservation of nearly 2,000 individual artworks. The organization has numerous restorations underway throughout the city, carried out by carefully selected restorers who are supervised by the Superintendency and Save Venice staff. On the evening of November 12, 2019, Venice experienced a record high tide (acqua alta) which caused massive damages to the city and its artistic treasures. The film tells about Save Venice’s immediate action following this event as well as some of the main restoration works currently taking place.
